Where We’ll Be Next
Here are some of the places we will be in the near future.
We are constantly trying to minimize our carbon footprint by clustering our travel. We urge you to check this list and—if possible—consider joining us at an existing event or extending us an invitation to work with you at a time when we may already be near you.

Our inaugural day in San Francisco in May is at capacity. We apologize for this and ask that you contact us to be placed on our wait list for our next Bay Area day in the Fall.
Our inaugural day in Seattle in June reached capacity and we have just confirmed our move to a larger venue. We want to thank the Seattle Public Library for their generosity in allowing us to change locations and we want to thank Town Hall for welcoming us in. Please register here for our June 7th gathering at Town Hall.

I have been in the criminal justice system for 36 years—as a District Attorney for 17 and judge for 19. I have regularly witnessed others relate the trauma they have experienced firsthand. Laura van Dernoot Lipsky presents compelling evidence of the impact witnessing trauma has on the observers—witnesses, court staff, attorneys, victim advocates, jurors, and judges—even in structured courtroom settings. She offers insight and practical tools to recognize, better understand, and help deal with the impact of trauma exposure. I recommend her work to anyone engaged in criminal justice work as well as any other profession that brings that person into close encounter with the trauma suffered by others.
